While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I'm learning to use my new 12" LX200 and was outside observing several
nights ago when the temperature was about 15 deg. F. After several hours
the keypad started to respond very sluggishly, to the point where
finally the "enter" button wouldn't work at all. I held it next to my
body under my coat for a while and it seemed to respond although not
100% of the time. I have the scope set up inside now and the keypad is
working fine. Is this unusual, or do all of you more experienced
astronomers have more sense than I do, going out when it's that cold.
