Welcome to MAPUG. I don't know the answer to your question, but you should
know that you represent our equivalent of the 1,000,000th Beetle rolling of
the assembly line...or maybe more accurately, the 1st New Beetle.

Meade's newer, smaller, cheaper (to badly paraphrase NASA) digital scopes are
apparently attracting some "advanced product users" like yourself.

Hopefully you'll get your answers and become one of the future experts to
help the large number of users we expect to be joining you with these newer
scopes.
