Removing the barlow from Meade and TV eyepiece has been done for some
time, most already know this trick. You don't need a hacksaw because
they are threaded. As far as getting what you pay for the 40 and 32mm
might be just fine for a long focal length telescope. The newer oculars
take this into consideration with fast f ratios. Even these eyepieces can
use a Paracorr Corrector to remove some of the curvature of field. Buy
what ever you want, it only matters when others find this eyepiece
lacking for smaller faster scopes. After all, fast is the way to go for
DSO.....................ric
