While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

If in the fork arms, clutches and motor assemblies are OK and the
computer inside the drive base is alright you could combine parts and
come up with an lx-200 modified. What a find, I'd love the extra backup
parts. Good luck! You can e-mail me directly for additional info; am sure
Meade would not promote or support this type of conversion, but under
your situation I think some margin can be given.
