I totally agree with you Ric. There must, and I would hope, will be a new
scope some day. It will have to be "from scratch" to make the jump from 1980
technology to 2000 technology.

As an amusing aside, I am surprised that the electronic parts for the current
design are still available!!

This is a very perceptive observation. I have taken my several LX200 scopes
to the limit, I think. I have realized that there is just so much you can
do. I will still "poke around" on it with the hope of keeping it working as
best as possible.

As another poster said, "Non illigitimus carborundum."
