While you're here, how about checking out the

Rick,
It would seem more of an anomaly with the scope than the battery. The
inverter replacement in mine did the trick and I am pretty sure that it is
one of those all or nothing things. The other folks I have spoken with all
agree that this inverter replacement solved the problem for them as well.

Subject: [M]: Kendrick Battery Question
I purchased a Kendrick 18v battery a while back for my LX200. It had
problems with the 18v inverter that caused slewing in both DEC and RA to
slow down and speed up. The change in speed was audible and was
pronounced enough that you see it change speed.
I received my repaired battery and have done some testing. DEC is fine
and RA is OK when slewing west. However, it still slows down some on
long slews to the east. I had it out for a few hours tonight and it does
not seem to affect pointing accuracy or tracking. I was wondering if
this is something I need to be concerned with? Is there any danger of
causing damage to the electronics if I continue to use it this way?
I'd rather not send it back if I don't have to. Any advice would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
-- Rick
