Legally, Meade cannot restrict what their dealers sell for. That would be a
violation of the antitrust laws. However, dealers may choose, individually,
not to sell for less, but Meade cannot restrict them.

A price that Meade uses for there scopes is a minimum
that the dealers can sell the scopes for. The prices
were just lowered so dealers are selling more scopes.
Usually if you but some acessories dealers will work
with you on the shipment cost. Meade dealers are not
to lower prices on the scopes. You can find LX200's on
the used market at AstroMart so check it out. Theres a
