While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

When did they discontinue the LX50??? Meade still advertises them on their
web site and in magazines.... >>

They stopped producing them just recently. You still see the ads in S&T and
ASTRONOMY because those magazine ads were coordinated for publishing way back
in December (that's how we can get the April issue at the end of February).
As for the ads on the websites ... have you ever seen a commercial website
that was actually updated in a timely manner?
