I am a new user of Softwars Bisque's products and I am having my =
problems as well...
But TheSky and my LX200 do communicate...and did from the first moment I =
put the cable in..
I had been Running Meade's Epoch 2000...prior to that.
Ed my settings.......on Epoch 2000....communications setup were...Com 1 =
Parity Check (ticked)=20
Baud 9600 Flow Control None =
Stop Bits 1 Data Bits 8 Parity (None)
When I switched to TheSky....it worked....without me doing anything...
in the Telescope Menu.....Setup.....I have LX200 by Meade Instrument =
Corp. selected and have changed nothing in the checkboxes...
Then in 'settings'......from the setup box.....it shows COM 1 and a =
Baud rate of 9600.
I close the boxes and click the little green telescope and get control =
of the scope.
I am using a long telephone cable from the RS232 connector on the LX200 =
to a small telephone to 9 pin adaptor which fits into a male 9 pin port =
on the back of a Toshiba Laptop......(the phone cable is 4 core....we =
don't have 6 core over here in Ireland...but luckily enough the LX200 =
dosen't need the six pins (see page 86 LX200 Manual)
Ed.....I don't know if any of this helps......but it is what works for =
me....email me directly...if you want to work on it more....
