While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Most likely the problem is in the autoguider. One of the dec outputs are =
probably shorted.

I have discovered a problem with my new 201xt autoguider. When I =
plug the CCD cable into the CCD input on my 12" LX-200 and into the =
autoguider, it causes my DEC motor the run continuously north at guide =
speed. This is true even with the autoguider OFF. The only way to stop =
it is to disconnect the wire either at the telescope or at the =
autoguider. I have not contacted Meade about this yet. I suspect the =
problem may be in the telescope. Any ideas out there?
