While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I use 150 feet of category 5 network cable to connect my computer to both my
LXD650 and a 416XT. The 5 conductor cable carries the serial data for both
using MaximDL to control the camera and my own scope control program, APT,
to control the scope.
