Thanks Eric for the information about how you support your cable running to the CCD head.
Im trying a little bracket that will attach to the front of the CCD head where the color wheel would normally attach and extending it up the side of the cooling fins. I will leave about 1/4 inch of space between the cooling fins and the small bracket so I dont affect the cooling much. The bracket will extend far enough past the back of the head to hold the cable straight out from the connector, this way the cable beyond that point will flex when things move but no strain will be applied to the connector. I hope this will prevent any further connector / cable damage.
