Hi Jim,
Yes the current consumption at an imput of 9-10 Volts, internal
battery or external battery (as measured) is R.A. running only- 80-95 Ma.,
With the Dec. motor oprating at 32x it is 120-135 Ma. (This is more than
the PCB regulator is designed for).
I had problems with the regulator shutting down, when using the external
12 V. supply, due to excess dissapation (7 V. at 130 Ma. = 910 Mw., The
regulator is a Max. 600-700 Mw. unit, I Max. 100 Ma.) as it is an 5 Volt
Regulator. and added an external 10 Volt regulator in the battery line,
cured the problem.
