Av, Several things you should be aware of when reporting. One when you
click on the SN portion, youll get Harvard EdU, and they give an
emergency # and a reporting #, usually the same, dont worry. In your
software you used to down load and take the image, make sure it knows
your camera, such as pixel size, i.e., 9 micron, etc. Zoom in on the Sn
object and see how many pixels it took up and note that! Size if
possible. Then using your distance measuring tool in the software, note
at least 2 stars near by that you can write down there number, then with
the tool make the line from each star to the SN and note the distance.
Remember this is all dependent on your preference info, i.e., FL/
aperture, and if your using a 6.3 adapter that number may not be true
depending upon distance from CCD face to secondary. But if your close
with confirmation your OK. take several nights images to confirm its not
a variable! Make sure you have as close as possible the sky magnitude.
Use a test star, photometry. Its a bugger, but good luck. Hope you score
a good one. Mike
