One thing to keep in mind is that when doing a TWO star alignment with a
known time, no other parameters are important. You can figure out lat/long,
amount off level and maybe even time from a two star alignment. If you scope
is an older LX200 that uses a ONE star alignment that is another matter.
Then lat/long, time and amount off level are important. This is why the
unknown site can be used as the scope will figure out the lat/long of the
site from a two star alignment.
