Guido, i was just re reading your post again, as I got side tracked this
afternoon when reading it the first time, and thats when i went on a
search for my TI CCD Chip applications book, that is now missing. But
your thoughts about the spectral sensitivity is a very good position
that I bet many had not thought of. I wonder if anyone such as your
self, has made a check using filters to see just what the TC255 really
comes out to? The window in the head is only standard glass. So a coated
glass may make a major improvement??? This may be a good experiment if
someone has a good set of filters they could add to the 1.25" tube and
make a record of this with known stars? The only filters I have are in
my Spectrograph, so Im out. a Nice BK7 1/4 wave may be a good answer?
I have been following some post from the Pro CCD group recently about
the Sapphire windows, and they are excellent but for one thing, they
love to pass cosmic ray hits, and the CCDs may take days to come back.
So thats out. Any way this would be a good experiment for some one with
the filters to try. Thanks Mike
