While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I would like some advice on two questions. My telescope is a 10inch
LX200, great scope.

a. I would like to purchase filters for visual use. My first thought
is an O3 filter for Planetaries and other emission nebulae. Also a
light pollution filter. I was thinking of buying both from Lumicon as
several sources have advised me that they are the best. However, I
read a post on the mapug site that said that the Tokai Light
Pollution Suppression Filters are better than Lumicon's.

Does anyone have any more information about Lumicon O3 filters or
Lumicon v Tokai pollution filters?

b. I have been thinking about buying an ETX for use on public viewing
nights and grazing Luna occults, where portability is important. Can
someone tell me about the performance of these scopes in the field.
Their limiting magnitude, reliability etc. Is the 90mm suitable for
grazes?

Many thanks for your help.
