Marteen,
This is the URL for Chris Heapys web site. He makes a replacement
collimator knob that is much better than the original and easier to adjust.
He is in England so Im sure that will be much closer than the US for you.
My question is how in the world did those screws wear out already? You
havent even had the scope for more than six months yet.

Subject: [M]: Meade collimation screws

Hi,

I am in need of your help. The Allen heads of the 3 screws used for
collimating the scope are worn-out. I contacted the Meade supplier in
Belgium, which now told me he cannot supply the screws separatly. This is
not funny. I will and cannot return the scope to Meade. I already tried to
find the screws in hardware stores but they are nowhere to be found. This
is because we use the metric system.
The scope is 10 inch f6.3.
Can anyone help me out here ? I heard something about custom made
collimation screws by someone on the list ? Perhaps I can order them ?

Kind regards,

Maarten
