Two months a go when I advertised a problem on
my CCD 216XT camera. The problem was with the
CCD chip which it was complete of center in the
Aperture window. I sent the camera back to Meade
for repair. Yesterday I received the camera in my hands.
The problem with the of center chip is
Now Very improved and I can say now
The chip is almost centered.
But another new problem was come up.
As I tried to get some test images
I discover that there is a white area in
The bottom of the images I took.
And as the chip was cooled the white area
Expanded almost in the half of the
CCD frame.

There is no any light or reflection which cause the problem
the same image I got with the scope covered.

Epilogue:
This was a brain new camera and I bought from
Focus camera on January 2000 I paid for it
About $750 and as you can imagine a never used.
I don't know what is happen with MEADE repairs.
I warned them to double-check that my camera
Is working properly after repair because is very
difficult to send again the camera back from here in Greek.
Paul Hobs from Meade customer support is very
Complaisant to help but I am afraid this is not enough.
Overall I am very disappointed and I can't see how
This thing can work.
Any way this was the story and any help is welcome.
