While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Dear Mapugers,

I just read an offer for an Meade LX 200 10" (build in 1993) for a fantastic
price. I wonder if some of you guys could give me some hints on what to watch
for (e.g. optics, drives, e.t.c.). I am not sure about the Meade products from
1993, but I think it might be a real great opportunity for me to upgrade to an
LX 200 earlier than I thought (I have an LX 50 10" for two month now)
Any comments or hints will be highly appreciated!!!
