While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
Hi,
Begging a quick question from the list, for those of you who have made
your own - or bought - those little "tables"[1] which you mount on the
head of a LX200 tripod prior to mounting the scope and fork, and which
typically provide eyepiece holders, desk space, and a few "register
pins" or similar stops that simplify centering of the LX200 over the
tripod mounting bolt:
Do such tables usually get firmly screwed to the tripod prior to use
(through the "wedge" holes) - or do they just rest on top, held in
place by the LX200?
I am looking at making my own at home, and was wondering whether there
was any preference.
Many thanks,
- alec
