While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
OK
If you want more field, you can use a 3.3 telecmpressor. Or, you can make a
mosaic.

Subject: [M]: Shooting the moon with CCD
OK..I got my CCD camera working and got some great pictures of teh moon for
my first attempts at CCD. The question is, I have seen some CCD images of
the moon that have the entire moon in the picture. How can I do that?
I have a Meade LX50-10" with 2500mm focal length but I am using an f 6.3
focal reducer with the Meade 416XT CCD camera. I have the focal reducer
attached to the rear cell, then the smaller Meade flip mirror device then
the
CCD camera.
Is there a way to reduce the field even further so I can get the entire moon
in a single image like I can using a film camera at prime focus?
Also, if I wished to magnify the image, is there a way to do eyepiece
projection with the CCD by attaching an eyepiece to the flip mirror device?
Thanks!
