I have not been keeping track, but it does happen quite a bit with me. I
think I am biased by the "surprise factor" like you indicated. Don't forget
that the light gathering power of your scope is orders of magnitude more than
your unaided eye. So your a re bound to "see" more satellites through the
scope than with your naked eye.
