While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Question:
Has anyone tried a type 5 31mm through an 8" LX200? It's too expensive but
if it's like the type 4 22mm that I've got, it may be worth the money.

Reply:
I've only tried it with a friend's 16" DOB. It was very nice but not enough
difference from my other very nice eyepieces to justify making a swap. In
the low power end, I have a 40mm Pentax, a 27mm Panoptic, and a 22mm
Panoptic. The 31mm just isn't enough improvement over any of those to
justify the cost for me. Perhaps if I had just bought my LX200 and didn't
have a lower power eyepiece.....
