We had some serious problems with the Dec axis for a while, but then
I learned how to tighten up the worm so that there's no horizontal
play. Boy, what a difference that made!

Yes, that is the first thing it does. Hmmmm, I know our docs say that the
first thing that should be done upon powering up (after the zero position
is found) is to do a Home->Find. I'm assuming that's what you mean by
the last sentence above, but please correct me if I'm wrong!

Yikes! Our scope has been fine so far (knock wood), barring this rather
small problem. I can always get the night's alignment to be spot-on
with a 2-star alignment; I actually have never tried a 1-star! I think
that might be a necessary part of the startup-sequence from now on. I
can usually find a pretty bright star well before sunset with the scope.
