While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I have never had any problems using TheSky with my LX200. It seems that as
soon as I connect with the Sky the software it knows exactly where it is. I
believe the LX200 just forwards the current RA and DEC coordinates to
TheSky. FWIW I have never had any luck....AT ALL... when syncing through
the Sky software. However, as long as I'm aligned before I est. a
connection ...it always works well. BTW, I have from time to time matched
coordinates on the LX200. This did not adversely affect the Sky software
nor did I suspend or drop the connection prior to performing the LX200
sync......... Joe
