Well, Mike and others, this is essentially what has been done. At a
point toward the end of last year, I decided I wanted to reduce the new
material that I posted on the Meade LX telescopes. I found I had little
more to say and did not expect to spend a lot more time on trying to
modify the LX scopes. Mine now work fairly well, and are about as good
as they are going to be.

I discussed this with Ed Stewart and he agreed to put my site as of
February 2000 onto the mapug archive server. It is linked from the
mapug archive site. (at www.mapug.com) So that has become the archive.
It is frozen in time as of February 2000.

At the same time, I plan to continue my personal web site with new
material of interest to me and to reduce some of the Meade related posts
on my current site. I have already done some editing and will be doing
much more in the near future.

So the older LX material will remain available at the mapug site as long
as this site exists. There is a clear statement at the top of that site
that the site is frozen as of February 2000.

Thanks for the chance to clarify this matter.
