Fine John....you think Meade customer service...or their 'scopes...or
whatever
sucks. That's your opinion and your welcome to it. I do have to wonder why,
if
you find them so objectionable, that your still subscribing to this
newsgroup.
Do you still own your LX200? If so, there must be a reason, eh? After all,
if
it were as horrible an experience as were supposed to believe I'd though
you'd
gotten rid of it by now. But apparently it has enough merits that you still
own it, right? If not, why are your here? Is it really a good reflection
on
Celestron that you've "never had to wait over an hour for a call back..."?
How
many times have you had to call Celestron customer service anyway??? To
make
your statement meaningful, i.e. not just a very infrequent occurance, you
must
have had to call them several times. Are we supposed to take that as a sign
of
Celestron quality...the fact that you've had so many experiences with their
service department???
My point is this...this group is for Meade users. We're here to talk about
the
'scope, about it's quirks and how to get around them and how to have a good
imaging/observing experience with them. Sometimes I'm sure we all scratch
our
heads at why Meade does things the way they do. I'm sure we all scratch our
heads at alot of things we see in everyday life. I sure scratch my head at
posts by people who have nothing but bad to say about Meade, yet they still
own
a Meade 'scope, or even more difficult to imagine, they don't own a Meade
'scope but they put time and effort into trashing Meade on this newsgroup.
