While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

The connector into the Pictor is the 'large', centronics type. You have two choices for Pictorview: 6.45, a 16 bit version which may work with your Bustoaster, and 7.11, a 32 bit version which definitely will not.

Your desktop will work with either 6.45 or 7.11.

If you want to use 7.11 on the notebook, make sure it has a type II PCMCIA socket (also known as a PCCard socket) and you need to get an Adaptec 1480.
