My roof has a lift off preventing device:
http://www.seds.org/billa/obs/plans.html
(the flat bar welded to my support rail); I copied this from Cris Vedeler.
But last time I looked at his www site he hadn't implemented it that way.

But anyway, my rof can move along the tracks with only a couple of blocks
and the garage door opener mechanism to stop it. I'm not sure how much
force the wind would generate or what it would take to stop it.

How much wind did it take to move our roof?
