While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I asked one of the local group here about collimation on the 12 inch
Meade LX200 scope. He said the is very little you can do to them and
they always come out right from the factory. I am wondering is this
true? All the book I read say you have to check it and reset it. They
are making several different kinds even the nice laser one that has its
own built in checker. I mean they aren't a lot of money but if he is
right should I just not get one at all?
If I do buy one which do I buy? I figure the instructions come with them
don't they?

Guess I just have to much time on my hands waiting for my new scope to
get here. Maybe the guy who sold it to me is tired of me also. 4 more
weeks....
