While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Are the right ascensions and declinations used by the LX200's computer those
of epoch J2000.0 or those of the current date?

Right now it doesn't make a difference, but in seven years the two will
differ by a tenth of a degree and will noticeably affect pointing accuracy.

I *presume* they are epoch 2000.0, but can someone confirm this? (Quick
experiment, which I'd try if the sky were clear: Get everything set up, then
put in a date 72 years in the future and see if everything shifts by a
degree.)
