Eyepiece projection should work with a CCD, with the same adapter as for a
camera. An advantage is that you're not trying to cover such a large field.
I've been testing eyepiece projection setups for lunar photography, covering
the full field of 35-mm film. The problem is, a Schmidt-Cassegrain
telescope has a slightly curved field, and a positive projection lens (such
as an eyepiece) will magnify the curvature unless specially corrected to
flatten the field.
So... As Doc G said, simpler eyepieces (orthoscopic, Plossl) are better, but
none of them has worked all that well for me. Teleconverters and Barlows
(negative projection) work better (they tend inherently to flatten the
field). Has anyone tried Tele Vue's 5x Barlow with 35-mm film? It might be
the right thing.
With a CCD this may be beside the point because the field is so much
smaller.
