While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
Almost a year ago, I had to have the electronics swapped out on my
10" f/10 LX200. With the new boards, the clock runs very fast - gaining
about 5 minutes a day. I was curious to know if this fast clock speed
might also affect RA tracking speed (??)
I have always had the freq. set at 60.1, and am aware of recent posts
suggesting experimenting with a lower (59.9?) freq.
I am having *fits* trying to get my ST-4 to guide properly. (When doing
a drift alignment, I can get the star to hold steady in the crosshairs for
So anyway...does anybody have an opinion whether whatever is causing
the clock to run fast - might also be causing the tracking speed to be in
error?
Thanks for any input,
