While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Speaking of Jason Ware's photos, somebody please take a look at his picture
of the Flame Nebula at http://www.galaxyphoto.com/jwflame.jpg. What causes
that flare around Zeta Ori?

My photo of the Horsehead, which can be seen at
http://www.tabbutt.com/Observatory/Astrophotos/image4.htm has the same kind
of flare (of lesser intensity than Jason's) coming from the same star.

What is it in the optical system that causes this? More importantly, how
does one get rid of it?

Thanks,

Don
