While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
I'm doing 35mm prime focus photos with my 10" LX50 and a friend has loaned
me his Van Slyke flip mirror system so I can find and observe objects
between shots vs. unscrewing the camera and installing the
adapter/diag/eyepiece setup each time. This sounds great but I don't like
the extra weight (Van Slyke stuff is really heavy!) and this flip-mirror
requires adapters for everything and adds at least 3 to 4 inches of added
backfocus distance which I've heard may make a 10" SCT non-optimum optically
(my pictures won't be as good?).
Any recommendations on convenient observing between shots? Adapters I'm not
aware of? Different flip-mirror? The Meade looks nice for this purpose.
Comments greatly appreciated as always.
