While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
Hey Dave,
I've had my 10"LX200 almost 7 years. The scope almost always places objects
near the center of the 26mm EP. If you are setup properly, do a reasonably
good alignment, have accurate data entered, then you should expect the same.
If not, then a trip back to Meade will be in order. In the meantime, you may
want to cruise through the MAPUG archives, you might come across something
that will help.
Good luck
Alan
>First issue: Inaccurate GOTO. After great care in data entry, leveling,
and
2 star alignment (alignment stars not 90 deg apart, more like 60 deg - I
have
some significant tree "issues" at my home), the scope succeeds in placing
objects in the fov of the standard 26mm SP about 50% of the time.<
