Hi Dave,

Did the GOTO work, once you got the scope level? You didn't say. Just curious.

The tipoff to the optical quality - or lack thereof - was your daytime test.
Sounds like there's a serious problem. The nightime problems were a pretty
good indicator of trouble, but that 300' target should have been nice and
crisp. You did move the focuser quite a distance when attempting to achieve
an image, right?
