While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
Mapuggers,
Finally got my guiding rig assembled. I am using a
90mm ETX with the 216 piggybacked on top of my
10"LX200. My main imager is a CB245.
I got the camera and PC to talk - Meade deserves to
be congratulated on the much improved Pictor sw.
I would like to use Pictor's guiding functions. How
well does the sw guide on the brightest object or the
user selected object. I have an older manual and some
of the things are not very well described.
I do not wish to use the automosaicing and focussing
so do I need to have a comm cable between the scope
and computer If I want to autoguide using the sw? The
manual says to have an additional cable when using the
LX200 but I do not see why this is necessary unless
the sw guides via sending commands to the scope's
rs232 port.
Any other helpful suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
