While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Hello all...

An observing buddy has a Meade Starfinder, and bought the Magellan Unit for
it. We've had several successes with it. However, we've had trouble for the
last two weeks with the unit. We do a polar alignment, then start it up,
pick our align stars and get an alignment score of 95 thru 105%. That being
done, we then proceed to point the scope somewhere else, using its computer to
guide us. If we obey the magellan, we wind up pointing the scope to another
place in the sky!

We couldn't beleive it, we re-started the whole procedure, then tried pointing
to a known object, say Rigel, or Antares, the magellan goes screwy again!
Does anyone nkow what the problem could be?

Help!
