Has anyone used one of the 'Zeit Atomic Clocks' I've seen ads for in S&T?
It syncs itself with the NIST atomic clock via WWV.
There's a model with an RS-232 interface and S/W for syncing your PC,
which, of course, means you can sync your LX200. I beleive the price was
around $130 or so. If it works, it would be great for keeping everything
in sync with the rest of the universe.
Even more off-topic, does anyone know if it uses the shortwave WWV bands
(5,10,15 Mhz) or the ELF band (somewhere around 180 Khz, I think).
If the former, there could be problems with reception in areas distant from
Fort Collins. If the latter, anyone should be able to get good reception.
