I have only had my 12" LX200 for about a year and do mostly CCD imaging with
a Kodak 0400 chip. With its long FL - 3000mm - the field is quite small.
You will want to get a focal reducer. I use an Optec MAXfield f/3.3 reducer
and that gives me about a 30' x 20' FOV and pretty well matches the 9 micron
pixels of the CCD.
The tripod is a beast and very steady. I use mine in the Alt-Azi mode so
can't comment on the wedge.
