While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book

Thanks to all who responded to my question abt the field rotation.
I think the scope was not well aligned because I used the diagonal. I
usually do 2-star wif known site... havent checked the accuracy of the built
in bubble level yet.
The diagonal (the one supplied wif the 8"LX200) though, is badly out of
collimation, there is an image shift of abt 1/3 of the 77x FOV introduced by
the diag, I checked before.
Is there an easy way to collimate it?
Actually, I opened it up before, but not to collimate, just to try and clean
the prism. it was wedged wif some triangles of paper at the sides... (oh,
and it says "china" below the word meade)
thanks!
