While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Precision pin holes are available at moderate prices from most Electron Microscope supply
houses, check the internet, they call them platinum apatures. $10 will typically buy you a
3.5mm diameter disk of platinum with a 20 micron laser cut hole, round to about 50nm.
