While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I would be curious to know about the 'black dots' . Recently I have been
unable to get good dark frames using the 1616 and PV6.4b3. A dark frame
subtraction leaves a mottled look (many black pixels, many of which are
adjacent. Don't have the earlier betas now to re-install and these current
dark frames don't look like any we got early on with the prior versions of
PV. A call to Meade elicited their suggestion that the camera be sent
back, which we don't want to do right away. Could you describe the 'black
dots' and say what software and version you are using?
