Clark, I've spent quite a bit of time with my 416 sitting in my home
office floor and have NEVER had the internal temp rise above 0 (zero)
degrees. When the room is warm (rare, and never above 80F), it can't
cool much below -5C.
It sounds to me like you have a problem with the cooling system in
your camera, or you have another problem causing something else to run
so hot that the cooling system can't keep up.
