Dear all,
here comes my last question for 2000 :-)
A couple of month ago I sold my Celestron OAG and purchased the Lumicon GEG. A
wounderful piece of equipment. Weather in Germany didnt permit to have a tryout
in the last couple of month "fog, rain,....", but last week I had good skies.
Unfortunatly I ran into a problem. I attached the GEG at the rearcell of my
LX 200 10" f/10, attached the camera, a Nikon F3 with the T mount adapter and
focused. The GEG is working at F/6.3 means the sharpley lens is directly behind
the little guiding diagonal. The problem I discovered is that witchever eyepiece
I put into the "guiding eyepiece tube" I cannot achieve focus. The tube seems to
be too short and I wont get anything focused. Am I missing something?
All hints are greatly appreciated, as weather forecasts for Germany are good for
the next couple of days and I am on holidays.
Besides my a.m. problem I would like to thank all members of the lists I am
participating in, APML and MAPUG. It had been a great year 2000 with lots of
intersesting things to read and learn. Thanks again.
I wish all of you a very HAPPY NEW YEAR 2001!!!
Clear Skies,
Aike M. Voelker
