While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Ronald,

> I am looking closely at buying an amateur observatory.

I have a Boyd 6000 with cyber-drive comming in a couple
of weeks. I choose this for 2 reasons:

1) most products require that you line up the slit with
door before it will open, or you come up into the dome
from below, or you step over a wall whereever the slit
is. My application calls for wanting to go through a
door at the level of the observing floor and not have
to move the slit. The 6000 does this.

2) Brent Boshart (continuous satellite tracking fame) is
the software guy for this, and he says it's good stuff.
