While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I have a Celestron 12 mm Micro Guide eyepiece, which appears to be the same
as the Meade Modified Achromatic 12 mm Illuminated Reticle Astrometric
Eyepiece. I'd like to use it to point things out to people at Star Parties
and the like, but think that all the "clutter" on the reticle would confuse
them. I'd like to make a new reticle with a dot or small circle and swap it
with the current one, giving me a dual use for it.

Is that possible? Would it foul things up if I try to remove the original
reticle?

Your advice and suggestions are appreciated.
