While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

A dew shield is a good idea but I think your throwing your money on the
Meade. It's super expensive and very cumbersome. Anyone else's would be a
better investment.

I am considering buying the meade dew sheild for my 10" LX200 mainly for the
lens shade than actual dew protection.

Anybody using this and found it to be useful as a stray light protector? Am
I throwing away money here when I could make my own easier?
